The carpenter toolbox

It comes so before now and that a repair to a piece of furniture is needed in the relationship, or with acquaintances.
Since there are close to a hobby woodworkers, one can ask for help and who brings his "plastic folding box" with, in which a bunch of tools is in shambles.
So it gives me at least so far been issued.
Every time I grabbed my folding box, I remembered the carpenter who was brought to us in the company, if the filing cabinet stuck or desk had an Macke. This carpenter had a toolbox, as was everything on it and in it. Always in the same place, with holder and so, he must have made himself.
So a toolbox I would have liked.

Upon reflection I had made the following specifications:
All items should be made of solid wood and pine
No screws, dowels or other bonding materials
Processing only with hand tools, not machines
Occupancy 50% with basic equipment and the rest for payload
Dimensions: 50 x35 x 35 cm (length x width x height)
The brackets in the box should be removed, so that a change is possible.
The basic configuration should be:

Small sizing, SIMS and smoothing plane
Approximately 8 to 10 different chisel with head Mallet
Big and small claw hammer
Marking gauge, angle, bevel, scale, compass, tack, water balance
Several screwdriver
Small Kneif- and flat-nose pliers
Rasp, file
And then it started:

For the box I have 15mm thick pine boards used.
Swallowtails and tines are woodcutting connections at the corners

The floor is 10mm thick and 10cm wide pine boards, I glued hem flange means to the area of 50 x 35 cm together. The entire floor I then gouged because the boards had warped slightly, so from then den10mm ca 8mm were.
All around I have planed a rebate which engages in a groove in the side parts.

For the super-imposed side parts that are needed to secure the hanger bar, I had to choose a somewhat unusual Gratverbindung, since I do not screw or dowel so wanted and longitudinal gluing on cross does not hold, I had just learned.

In the box side panels I sawed a wide Gratnut that tapers upwards, ie below 15 cm above 14 cm wide, 7mm deep.

The planing such a broad "NUT" with a router plane is a problem, as the planer is supposed to rest firmly on either side of the groove. So for a 15 cm wide groove you have to have a particularly broad planer.

Against such a problem was a carpenter, many years ago, which gave him the idea to build a 26 cm wide base planer. I learned this the Lord, not know name "FK", but his planing I bought at a flea market. This planing the groove could be prepared well.

On the attached vertical side panels, 15 cm wide, I have planed a corresponding ridge.

The compound was adjusted so that the side panels about 1-1.5 cm survived down so that they could be wedged tightly in the assembly.

This looks a bit complacent, I have the top rounded by boat planing.

Here is the first test assembly.
